The Village of Irma is located within the Municipal District of Wainwright, 178 kilometers southeast of Edmonton and 29 kilometers northwest of Wainwright, in the heart of the beautiful rolling parkland of Battle River Country. Irma is situated on Highway 14 at the crossroads of Secondary Highway 881.

Irma is a friendly, safe village of over 450 people located 15 minutes west of Wainwright and 90 minutes east of Edmonton on highway 14. Irma is supported by a strong economy with agriculture, oilfield activity and the Wainwright Military Base near by.
